Rio Douro is a family business which commenced trading in 1971 and has since then expanded and moved into larger premises in 1996.  We are wholesalers direct to the public, specialising in seafood, and continental delicacies used in Portuguese and Mediterranean cuisine.  A large selection of our products is imported directly so we can offer you the best quality at the very best price.  Our fresh fish is received daily from the coast the morning after is has been caught, and our frozen fish is all sea frozen, to guarantee freshness. On ice and in our display fridges you will find a large variety of under the sea treasures such as line fish, game fish, kingklip, prawns, lobsters, calamari, mussels, octopus, crab, oysters and many more.   We stock a wide range of pure virgin olive oils and olives from Portugal, Spain, Italy & Greece.  In our wine cellar we have an assortment of imported wines to compliment any dish. We have an enormous range of imported pastas, a selection of cheeses, a wide range of dry and canned beans, typical Portuguese bread, traditional pastries, imported biscuits and an array of smoked meats including the famous "chourico" and "perzunto".
